AUGUST CLASSES
CLASS PROCEDURES
Students must register and pay in advance. All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before class time for a refund. All classes include up to $10 worth of supplies, unless otherwise stated. This supply allowance can be used for class materials only.
GLASS FUSING – Sat., Aug. 2nd, 10:30 am. A great beginner’s class! Join Joanne Alarid and create beautiful objects with glass! Learn how to tack fuse, full fuse, and drill. All students will make a suncatcher and a pendant. This class will be about 6 hours long. All levels. $85 (all supplies included)
BASIC NECKLACE – Tues., Aug. 5th, 6 pm. A wonderful class to learn about design, cords, clasps and putting it all together. Everyone will make a necklace. Beginner. $20
TRIPLE STRAND FLOATING NECKLACE - Wed., Aug. 6th, 6 pm. Learn how to make a 3 strand necklace with different types of beads that are spaced and knotted along a silk cord. $20 Intermediate
FLOWERS & LEAVES BRACELET – Create a beautiful springtime bracelet of Czech glass flowers and leaves on a crystal base. Taught by Frances Costas. Int.-Adv. $35
BASIC EARRING – Tues., Aug. 12th, 6 pm. Learn the basics of earring making using headpins, wire and beads and create several pairs of lovely earrings. Beg.-Int. $20
CHARMING BEAD & CHARM BRACELET – Wed., Aug. 13th, 6 pm. Create a stunning bracelet chock full of beads and charms. You may bring some of your own beads and treasures! Can use sterling, gold-filled, copper or gunmetal chain. Beg.-Int. $20
KNOTTING GEMS & PEARLS – Tues., Aug., 19th, 6pm. Learn the fine art of knotting between beads for a beautiful, professional necklace. Intermediate $20
SPIRAL WIRE BRACELET – Wed., Aug. 20th, 6 pm. Create a fun bracelet linking spirals of sterling or gold-filled wire together. Must have adequate hand strength - there will be hammering! Beg.-Int. $20
CREATING METAL BEADS - Thurs., Aug. 21st, 6pm. Learn how to make your own beautiful textured metal beads out of copper & sterling. Taught by Kathy Swift. All levels. $25 (Some or all supplies included)
VIKING KNITTING BRACELET - Sat., Aug. 23rd, 10:30 am. Learn an age-old art - from the Vikings no less! Using a dowel and wire, create a “knitted” tube and then pull thru a draw plate for a flawless tightly woven bracelet! $35 (includes some or all supplies)
ART CLAY PENDANT – 2 sessions, Mon & Thurs., Aug. 25th & 28th, 6 pm. Discover the fun of working with the incredible art clay and make a beautiful pendant of fine silver using different types of decorative techniques! Taught by Trude Spillane. All skill levels. $60 (all supplies included)
