WHAT’S NEW?

TAGUA NUTS & ACAI SEEDS!

             Come in and check out the beautiful, earthy beads and pendants made from tagua nuts and acai seeds! Tagua is a nut from a palm tree that grows in South America. It has been used for centuries for carvings, buttons, etc. With the onset of plastics, the tagua industry was almost ruined. Today there is a resurgence of Tagua nut products, especially in the jewelry sector.                                                                                                                                      We recently connected with a company that has their beads made for them in Ecuador. The quality is excellent, the colors earthy and vibrant and the selection is awesome! They have met the artisans and are very satisfied with their working environment.                                                                                                                                                          We have seen and occasionally carried taqua beads and pendants off and on for years, but have never been this excited about these products. The Acai beads are wonderful too and go great with the Tagua and lots of other types of beads. We just love them and hope you will too!!

            The Down the Street Bead Show will be in Atlanta on the weekend of July 19^th & 20^th, in Tampa on August 16^th & 17^th, and St. Augustine on September 6^th & 7^th.  Check out http://www.beads1.com/ for all the relevant information such as vendor lists, directions, etc.  We will be at all three of these shows.
